Flu season has officially started! With that being said, we want to make sure everyone is taking the proper steps to help PREVENT THE FLU!

 

The CDC defines the flu as “a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times, can lead to death.”

Common Symptoms Include: Fatigue, Muscle or Body Aches, Headaches, Fever or Chills, Sore Throat, Runny or Stuffy Nose, and Cough.

 

 

STEPS TO AVOID THE FLU

Step 1

Get a Flu Shot.

Step 2 

Wash your hands frequently.

Step 3

Avoid contamination. Avoid close contact with sick people.

Step 4 

Stay well with good lifestyle habits, such as enough sleep, healthy eating, stress management, and being physically active.

Step 5

Stay home. When ill, stay home, and go to the doctor.
